View the NFL Schedule WIN SOME PEANUTS ON THE SIDE ____________________________ The following is open to all teams. A one time investment of 10 peanuts is required at the beginning of the season. If all teams participate the winner could potentially take away 160 peanuts at the end of the season.
Due to a tremendous surge on peanut commodities and futures, there are 42 entries in the pool and 1 winner could take home a big jar of 420 peanuts. Review the picks by linking above.
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS -
Each week during the season, you pick the winner of 1 game for that week, Thursday, Saturday and Monday games are included. No point spreads are used, just pick the winner of 1 game. No ties allowed, it MUST be an outright winner. If you are correct that week, you move on to the next week. If you are incorrect, you drop out of the pool. As long as you keep picking winners each week, you continue playing. When only 1 player is left then that player wins all the peanuts in the pool, a maximum of 160 if all teams play.
There is 1 important rule, you cannot pick the same team more than twice or in 2 consecutive weeks during the regular season.
Play will continue each week until only 1 player is left. If there 2 or more players left after the last week of the regular season, then the peanuts in the pool will be split equally. Depending on how many players are tied, if agreed upon, the playoffs could be used to break the tie. If that is the case, then point spreads may come into play since there are a limited number of games each weekend.
Please contact the commisioner by Friday each week with your pick. For Thanksgiving week, please contact the commissioner by Wednesday.
NOTE: If you forget to call in your weekly pick, then instead of forfeiting your pool entry, the following will take place. You will receive the next team, in alphabetical order, that is in the same division of your last team picked.
The alphabetical order is based on the team's city or region name, not the nickname. The team that will be selected cannot have already been picked twice during the season or been picked in consecutive weeks. This process continues until all teams in a division have been selected. When all the teams have been selected using this default method, your entry will be forfeited with no refund of the entry fee.
Hopefully this default selection method will not come into play but this contingency process must be put in place just in case.
Weekly results will be posted with a link from the main page of the Board's web site. A maximum of two entries per player is allowed with each entry standing on it's own as far as the rules are concerned.
In any case, this is another way to add some excitement to the league and win a few extra peanuts at the same time. If interested, sign up at the draft in a few weeks.
